Hello, hello, hello! Happy first Friday of August!! I hope this finds you well and happy, and writing productively.
In the U.S., this is often the last month that children are out of school. September is considered the start of “Fall Semester”, though the weather may still be hot, and people not ready to settle down. I challenge each of you to write a poem about the end of the summer, the beginning of the school year. Please share below. (I promise I will do this when I return from vacation, if reminded.)
No matter what the civil calendar says:
Sultry moon slivers;
boiling pot sunrise — Summer’s
end is not in sight!
😀 Hey, Cedar! Hoping you’re having a blast on vacation.
