Good morning, Flames! (Or, because I’m a wee late, good afternoon to most of you!)
Last Monday we introduced ourselves with a few random facts. Today, we’re going to get into our impromptu writing skills. When I was in high school, most classes had something called ‘Bell Work’. The concept was simple: When we came in, there was a prompt written on the board that instructed us to write or complete a certain activity between the moment we got to our desks and the sound of the second bell, a.k.a. the you’re-wicked-late-for-class-now bell. The rules for our Bell Work will be equally simple. I will provide a prompt, and your job is to respond accordingly.
Today’s impromptu is…
“In 200 words or less, describe one of your earliest memories of fear; specifically of a ‘spooky’ or ‘creepy’ origin. You may speak fictionally or autobiographically, depending upon preference.”
The prompt for week four is afoot! Do we deign to take on your best attempts at Hubris?
